Calling any kiddos or any community member on Thursday, February 23rd, at 1 pm we are sewing pillowcases to support the Ryan’s case for smiles charity.  This charity provides pillowcases with cheerful prints for children and families who require a hospital stay to help support and cheer them up when faced with a severe illness or injury.   Fabric and supplies will be provided and we have two new sewing machines that were purchased with funds from the Yates County Youth Bureau and the Yates County Legislature.  Don’t worry if you don’t know how to sew or use a sewing machine, we will help and teach you.  I don’t believe in taking credit for others ideas, so I want to share with you that this project was a dream that was shared with me by Mrs. Deb Wright this Summer.  She told me about it, the Youth Bureau had extra funds available and I wrote the grant request.  The Youth Bureau and the Yates County Legislature chose to fund our grant proposal and wish granted!
