SUMMARY:Aspiring Chefs
DESCRIPTION:Aspiring Chefs is back this week with Bread in a Bag on Thursday\, August 12th at 4 p.m.!  The entire bread making process is completed in a bag with the exception of baking the bread in a pan.  I know we have had several aspiring chefs activities that have revolved around preparing food in a bag since resuming Aspiring Chefs in person.  I chose these activities to be socially responsible and to allow participants to distance from other participants and to work only on the food they were going to consume\, to simplify program prep\, and to give the kids a sense of independence and self-worth.  My program choices may have also have been influenced by a bit of nostalgia.  Does anyone remember a coffee cake kit in the early 80’s and 90’s that was mixed in a bag\, poured into a foil pan\, and sprinkled with a packet of streusel and could be baked in a toaster oven?  The first person to reply with the correct answer to the Dundee Library 607-243-5938 this trivia question will receive a small prize!
