SUMMARY:Craft Storytime
DESCRIPTION:Winter is the time for bundling. We don’t make the rules. You’ll freeze if you don’t wear warm clothing. Hey\, it’s on you for making that decision. You’ve gotta wear mittens when feeding the birds. It’s practically law. What if you lost a mitten? Would you be sad? Your not-missing mitten would be. It’s lost its comrade; it’s buddy; it’s partner in crime. Plus\, you can’t feed the birds during National Bird Feeding Month without your mittens. To celebrate the month\, the Dundee Library is offering a very special craft story time. On Thursday\, February 27 at 3:30 p.m.\, they will be reading “Two Little Red Mittens” by Kirin Hayashi. With the story\, they will be making cereal bird feeders! Doesn’t that sound fun? Make sure to wear your mittens when you visit!

They’re furry and fluffy just like a cat! You must want one. Nevertheless\, the Dundee Library has a story time for you. Join them on Wednesday\, February 26 at 11 a.m. to read “The Skunk” by Mac Barnett. After hearing the story\, you might be a little bit more inclined to consider adopting a skunk as a pet. There’s a lot of worry that comes with the season. Especially when it comes to driving… Black ice is terrifying. If you can relate to the scaries of winter\, the Dundee Library has just the story time for you. On Wednesday\, February 19 at 11 a.m.\, they will be reading “Winter Woes” by Marty Kelley. DESCRIPTION:Some people say romance is dead. What do you think? We can’t take a stance on the matter\, but you all can talk amongst yourselves. Is it a sham? Is it real? We may truly never know. So many opinions on the big question. No matter what you decide\, there are people who love you. Family\, friends\, your pets. This is\, of course\, unless you don’t have any friends. In the story Dundee Library is reading on Thursday\, February 13\, the main character doesn’t believe he has any friends. Until he receives a mysterious letter reading nothing else but\, “I love you.” Weird\, huh? Our main character is determined to find out who wrote this letter. Make sure to stop in for the story at 3:30 p.m. and stay for the craft! You will have the chance to make a heart in a box. Now that is going to be fun!

DESCRIPTION:We would do anything for our friends. Isn’t that\, right? We love them. Sometimes even more than life itself. It’s funny how that works. SUMMARY:Craft Storytime--Cancelled--Library Closed
DESCRIPTION:There are too many rules. There are not enough rules. What are the rules? Do we have any rules? There are rules for Groundhog Day. Rules that include shadows and the sunshine. At the time of writing\, we don’t know what the outcome of Groundhog Day is\, but we’re sure it went one way or another. The next set of rules is for Valentine’s Day. We’re not going to get into those but just think about what it’d be like to combine the holidays. What would those rules look like? If you are looking to find out\, join the Dundee Library for their story time on Thursday\, February 6 at 3:30 p.m.! They will be reading “Groundhug Day” by Anne Marie Pace. There will be a craft with the story! There may be a couple of rules to go with it\, but the Dundee Library will be making fizzy hearts. It’s a neat science experiment. SUMMARY:Yates County Public Health Cancer Prevention
DESCRIPTION:Everyone loves to share their opinions. Don’t you? We all have our own; it’s what makes us different from each other. Besides our DNA\, of course. I won’t give you a science lesson about that… If you are looking to have a good conversation about some serious topics\, look no further! On Friday\, January 24 from 12 to 2 p.m.\, we will be welcoming our friends Caiti and Emily from Yates County Public Health to talk about cancer prevention and chronic disease. Whether you have cancer\, know a loved one with it\, or haven’t been touched by the illness before\, these ladies want to hear what you have to say. They may ask you some things like: “How do you think food affects your chances of getting cancer?”\, or “Do you feel comfortable discussing cancer prevention with your healthcare provider?”. Your thoughts\, opinions\, and answers will help shape a huge cancer prevention campaign. This is your chance to do something big\, and important\, for your community. Not only are these questions going to help this campaign\, but it is also going to assist in connecting the community with Yates County Public Health! Plus\, they will be giving away free goodies to anyone that stops by to have a chat! Who doesn’t love a free goodie? Make sure to come and say hello!

SUMMARY:Craft Storytime
DESCRIPTION:We all know someone that is a little more outgoing than we may appreciate. They wear loud clothing and speak in the same tone. However\, we love them with all our heart. You can’t imagine them any other way. It’s the same thing in the animal kingdom. Some animals are a little more ferocious than others. In the Dundee Library’s story time on Thursday\, January 23 at 3:30 p.m.\, join them to read “Tacky the Penguin” by Helen Lester to hear all about how one penguin’s friends find him annoying. That is\, until one day they realize how special he really is. Everyone that joins in the story will have the opportunity to create their very own peculiar penguin

SUMMARY:Storytime
DESCRIPTION:Pinecones are cool\, right? You can do lots of things with them. They can even be sentient beings! The Dundee Library\, for example\, would love to have a pinecone as a friend. Who wouldn’t? Pinecones are the best. If you want to have a pinecone as your friend\, look no further! You can at least read about them at the Dundee Library’s story time on Wednesday\, January 22 at 11 a.m. Join them while they read “Penguin and Pinecone: A Friendship Story” by Salina Yoon. After the story\, you’d wish even more for a pinecone to be your friend.
