SUMMARY:STEM
DESCRIPTION:Love STEM (Science\,Technology\, Engineering & Math).  This month we are focusing on birds and birdhouses.  This week we are reading The House I’ll Build For The Wrens by Shirley Nietzel and a look at the tools we will need to build our birdhouses.  The House I’ll Build For The Wrens is written using the familiar rhyme The House That Jack Built which makes it a great read for beginning readers with its rhyming text.  This book is also called a rebus reader which means pictures are interspersed throughout the text and are used in place of words.  We’ll also be displaying the tools mentioned in the book and showing you how they will be used.  Please join us in person at 3:00 p.m at  the Dundee Library. on Friday\, March 5th  if you are able or go to the Dundee Library Facebook page to view the story.  Thanks to the Dundee Rotary Club for inspiring and supporting this program offering!

SUMMARY:Storytime
DESCRIPTION:St. Patrick’s Day is next week and in celebration we are celebrating all kinds of “little people”  not just mischief making leprechauns\, but fairies\, and gnomes\, and our most favorite magical “little people” our children.  We have a brand new board book\,  Fairies Are Real by Holly Hattam I will be sharing that is super fun.  I think this calls for a mini bubble dance party!   The next book\, I’m A Gnome by Jessica Peill-Meininghaus is all about a slightly grumpy gnome setting us straight about what a gnome is and is not.  See if you can spot the leprechaun’s treasure ( 10 gold coins) in the background of our story time!  See you on Facebook at 10:30 am on Thursday\, March 11th.
